Bob Brofft has been the Head Coach of the Hidden Creek Hurricanes since 2021. He is also an Assistant Coach with Nation's Capital Swim Club. A native of Northern Virginia, Bob swam competitively for twelve years, representing the Chase Club Sharks, Victor Swim Club, Robinson Secondary School, and the College of William & Mary. After graduating from W&M with a bachelor's degree in economics, Bob came home and coached for thirteen seasons with the Potomac Marlins Swim Team, where he was selected as a PVS Zone Team coach in 2007, 2008, and 2009. He also became a teacher at St. Paul VI Catholic High School, where he taught math and served as the head coach of the swimming and diving program for ten seasons. In addition to those roles, Bob spent many summers coaching a variety of summer league teams, and served as a coach/counselor for the swimming camp at the University of Notre Dame.
